The first of its kind, open access interface that visualises the composition of the Indian Judiciary across every state and district.
This web portal was built for a legal policy think-tank, with the aim of making data on the lower judiciary more accessible for researchers, policy makers and the general public interested in the judiciary as an institution. The data gathering exercise was conducted by the Vidhi team. We made sense of the data collected and visualised the gender distribution of judges across the Lower, Higher and Supreme courts. Users can slice the data down to view it per state/district and can also view it as a table for analysis.
I worked as a freelancer for the Mumbai-based UrbanSciences team.
